Creating a LUN
You can use the Create LUN wizard to create LUNs for an existing aggregate, volume, or qtree when there is available free space.
About this task
System Manager checks the validity of a LUN ID before adding it. Also, when you create a new initiator group on a storage system, System Manager informs the storage system's active/active configuration partner that you have created a new initiator group.
Steps
1.
From the Home tab, double-click the appropriate storage system to display a subtree of management features.
2.
Click Storage > LUNs.
3.
If the appropriate tab is not displayed, click LUN Management.
4.
Click Create to start the Create LUN wizard.
5.
Type or select information as requested by the wizard.
6.
Verify that the LUN you created is included in the list of LUNs in the LUN Management tab.
